Dear Karen,
Emma Victoria will be 8 months old this week. She is the epitome of every
Abyssinian I ever dreamed of having.
Physically
she is supremely beautiful, with large ears (of course); a long, lean,
graceful body; gorgeous eyes; chocolate leather paws; the forehead M and
ruddy ticked fur that a diva would envy.
My friends tell me she looks like a little Puma and as sleek as a seal.
Karen, the expertise of your breeding shows in every line and personality
trait. Emma was small and timid when I got her, but she was already nicely
socialized, litter trained and soon made my home her own. The Vet and his
office were so smitten at her first exam, I was afraid I’d never get her
back.
For all her beauty, the best part of Emma Vee is her personality and joy in
life. I wanted an ‘interactive’ cat and I certainly got one. She is the
busiest little fur person I’ve ever known and willful too. Emma’s mission in
life is to be present at every event and make sure it’s done to her exacting
standards! But when it’s time for bed, she curls up with me, purring loudly
and we fall asleep together. What a love! She’s passionate about a number of
things: sponges, avocados, cough drop wrappers, aerial leaps, watermelon,
ribbons, sliding doors, bugs on the ceiling and recently corn cobs. But
above all, Emma loves a running faucet and delights in drenching counters,
window sills and her self by a fast, flurry of kung-fu paws through the
water.

If clients want the best, I recommend everyone who wants a pedigreed cat to
come your way. Your commitment to high standards and professional follow
through are necessary and welcome when choosing a cat of this caliber. From
the heart, thank you for my Sunborn Emma Victoria.

I love Bengal kitties and every so often I search for them on the web...
found your site quite some time ago, and saved it to my favorites and it
just makes me so happy to look at (especially since you always seem to have
new pictures everytime I remember to check it).
Your kitties look so well loved and happy and gorgeous! Truly is wonderful
to see them in a beautiful home, interacting just the way they would if you
were going to keep them forever. It's the best possible thing to see when
you're looking for pictures of beautiful bengal cats.
Anyway.... just had to tell you that. :)
Best regards
-Lynn 4-07
Dear Karen,
Words in this letter cannot express the sheer gratitude I have for you and your facility. After long searches for the right Bengal, and many disappointments, I found you, like a light at the end of the tunnel.
Our Tomba - Girl is absolutely gorgeous, and well worth the whirlwind flight out of Ohio to California and back in one day. That whole week I sat at the computer thinking "it's so cold, it's too cold to ship her I'm losing it here" ha ha, then finally my partner says...."JUST GO"
You were so accommodating, and that really means a lot of the person that you are, and the dedication that goes into making your clients happy. Your facility is super nice, very clean, and you spoil them rotten. It was honestly the nicest I've ever seen, and by far better than any in Ohio.
The airport-adventure home was so funny. People were looking around to see where all the noise was coming from, and I'm just strolling through the terminals thinking "God what a siren!" But I can say it got me royal treatment because everyone was so intrigued by her. Many with cute reactions like" I've never seen a cat like this before.... Where do you get one of those?!"
The Vet's office loves her. Not as much as we do though!
She is so funny here, just a ball of energy, running, jumping and calling for us in the house. She is a mad player of "Fetch" I always have a feather ball at my feet and a rub to say "Hey I'm down here throw this for me will Ya?" It's hard to get much done because I'm a sucker for those huge eyes.
But Thanks again. I hope to make another whirlwind trip out for another just like her in a few years, but next time I'm staying longer. I'd like to see wine country during daylight hours!
I highly recommend you to everyone who shows interest in Our Bengal.
We love Tomba, and You also for breeding a great cat.
Sincerely,
Jenna & Michael

Hi Karen,
Well, what can we say about our not so little anymore Vashie that weighs almost 12 lbs at 7 1/2
months. We've searched almost 2 years for the perfect little Bengal and we can't thank you enough for putting our search to
rest.
We definitely got much more than we had hoped
for. He is so sweet just as you said. He talks to us all the time and follows us everywhere we go, I mean he really follows us around as if he were a little
puppy. Vash has so much character that surprises us with every passing
day. We never had a problem with him thanks to your first 3 months of raising
him.

We've only had Vash for 4 months now and it feels like he's been around ever since we can remember, thanks
for his intense and rich personality. We can't think of our lives without
him. Vash is the furthest from your regular everyday cat and we don't just talk of his perfect spots, or his soft mink
fur.
We walk him on a leash to give him exercise while climbing every single tree in the
neighborhood. Everyone stops us where ever we go and can't believe he is real. They all say he looks like a mini tiger or
leopard and then just want to pet him and he just loves to put on a show for them and climb a tree or
two. We walk him off leash every time we go hiding away in the Poconos and he never steers away too far from us and always comes when
called. Everyone looks at us like we're crazy. It's only when we talk to him and he responds that they understand what a special boy he
is.
He's fearless, playful, and always so curious about
everything. He loves hunting flies, butterflies, bees, all kinds of
bugs. He looks to interact with every animal he sees weather it's a smaller than him dog or even the biggest dog out
there.
That is why we are thinking of getting him a special
companion. A little girlfriend I guess. (laughing) We even thought of a name, Vash &
Venus. What do you think I know you are smiling because you were the one who told us that we will be so pleased that we'll want another and you were
right. We would LOVE your help and thoughts on getting him the perfect
girl. Thank you Karen for bringing this special little life in our home, this blurb does not express a fraction of our happiness.
Forever Grateful,
Clementina & Flavius
Hi Karen
These are some pictures of my beautiful bengals that came from you! When I picked up Samba at the airport last
year/Aug 04/ she and I bonded from the first second! She has been at my side ever since. I love Samba not just her beautiful marbled coloring but her little personality that says...I am # 1!!! In January I called you because I had see 2 more kittens that I was interested in. Mick and Storm arrived in April 05. They have been everything I have wanted and they are so adorable and playful! They get along with all the other cats and we are all best friends! I love the kittens that have come from your breeding
program. I wish to say that not only are you able to to put 2 together and produce beautiful kittens but they are so very well socialized ! The kittens I have
gotten from you are adorable and loveable and get along with all the other cats! I recommend Karens cats to anyone!

Hi Karen,
Here are some cute photos and a story for your website.
We bought our first Bengal kitten from Karen in June 2004, "Sneaker"
named by our three year old son Vance, has been such a great addition
to our family. She is so curious, loving & playful, and is so gentle
with our son!
Sometimes Vance chases Sneaker around the house and
sometimes she chases him! They get along very well, and I think
having a Bengal cat has taught our very young & energetic son to be
kind and gentle.
......After about 4 months with Sneaker, we saw a black
melanistic Bengal kitten on Karen's website and had to call her.
"Panther" our second Bengal has been a blast! At first, we
wondered if
we had made the right decision, because for 3 full days & nights,
Sneaker (a female) hissed, growled, chased, pounced and terrorized the
new male, all black Bengal kitten. But on the fourth day, she gave up
and decided to accept him. Since then, they are the best of pals.
They run and roll around together, they sleep curled up in their cat
condo and they lick each other clean. Although, there was a transition
period in the beginning, it was well worth it, because Sneaker seams so
much happier having another cat to play with.
We are extremely happy
with both Bengals, and know that the reason they are so gentle & loving
is because Karen and her family took such good care of them! Having 2 Bengal cats is something I never thought I would have, but can't
imagine life without them! Thank you Karen!

| Dear Karen, We searched a long time to find the right Bengal breeder. We visited several and were generally very disappointed. Your experience, professionalism, and responsibility are what we were looking for. Our kitten, now 5 months, is an incredible pet and so much more than we hoped for. Your commitment to your program, your Bengals, and your clients is simply wonderful. We recommend you to everyone who is looking for a loving, beautiful and healthy Bengal. | Karen, You never cease to amaze us! We were overjoyed after receiving Apache from you last year. We never thought it could get any better than that. It just kept getting better and better....first it was Champion....then it was Grand Champion....and most recently it is Double Grand Champion after only three shows as an adult. Now we have received our precious little girl from you and we are absolutely in love again! She is incredible and her personality is to dye for. From the minute she arrived there was a personal bond between us. She was cuddling in our arms within minutes and craving attention from both of us. She is as gentle as can be with our kids and she adores them. She is an absolute doll. From the loving temperament of these cats we sure can tell that you provided them with nothing but pure love and attention. You did a wonderful job and we are so grateful to you for placing such wonderful Bengals in our breeding program. YOU ARE THE BEST! I CAN'T SAY THANK YOU ENOUGH! Take Care! | Hi Karen, I thought you would appreciate a couple of new images of our "babies." I'll have others in the near future. We still don't have official names for these two. We've never had this much trouble naming an animal. I'm partial to "Missy" (short for "Miss Chevious") and "Alex" (short for "Smart Alex.") Sharyn isn't sold. Best Regards, Bob & Sharyn |

| Hi Karen, Last year, our family started our search for the perfect bengal. We found your website and were very excited to find a local breeder. We purchased our first bengal, Sheba, and just fell in love. We decided we wanted a little boy and purchased Jabari from you in January. After a few days, Sheba and Jabari decided they liked each other and now cannot be separated. Two bengals is much better than one. Your bengals are the best. Thanks so much. We love our bengals. | We are so in love with Apache it is ridiculous! He just loves to give kisses, and I am beginning to think he knows I will be having my baby soon, as he has been giving me all kinds of extra attention! He is absolutely wonderful, and we are so grateful that we were able to get him from you! I thought you would enjoy these photos of Apache. He is so gentle with our kids......and loves to give then a kiss or two, as seen in the pictures. He has become so laid back and easy going. Greg Kajari Bengals www.kajari.com |

| Karen, I just wanted to send you some recent pictures of Apache. He will be in the Atlanta show in January and we are really expecting him to do well as an adult. His color and size have really come along in the past few weeks. He weighed in today at 14 pounds which is quite impressive since he is only 8 months old. I just wanted to send you a quick email and keep you up to date with his progress. Take Care! Greg, Kajari Bengals 12-13-03 |

Wow Karen! We are AMAZED every day at how loving, intelligent and gorgeous our Charlie boy is. On the first day we took him home after having a 4 hour car ride he acted like he had been with us for his entire 11 week life and he quickly jumped on my lap to take a snooze. We were in shock that he was such a well adjusted kitten and he only gets better each and every day. His beauty is attributed to your expertise in breeding and his personality comes from your hands-on home environment and the love you have for your little ones. You can certainly give our number out to anyone requesting a personal referral. Thanks Karen & we will definitely keep in touch! Ron & Kristin Tunison |

Ipanema of Trendar Is that a slot Machine!!! Hay, there is no gamble when buying a kitten from Karen Bishop :-) Thank you so much Karen for trusting me with this stunning young

kittens. Holly Borchard, Trendar Bengals 6-03 |

Karen.....I hope you have a great Christmas...... I wish I could get another bishops
Bengal right now....but it will be a while off......all the money is being poured into the house. )-: The good news is the "kids" will have stairs to run up and down and plenty of room....plus I am making a designated cat room...with a big bed...and play gym.....I can't wait!!! Kali and Jagger are doing FABULOUS....Jagger is snuggling in between my back and the chair as we sit here. It's so cute he does this all the time....he gets himself back there as he likes to snuggle CLOSE....and kali is laying on top of the computer sleeping. Thanks for everything and for allowing me to adopt these 2 wonderful kitties that I just love so much. (-: Margey 12-24-2002 |

Thank You so much Karen, for trusting me with your beautiful
female kitten Desiree.
At the TICA show in NY a young Bengal fan poses for photo with Holly & Desiree. At this show Desiree became Champion BishopsBengals Desiree of Trendar. We have another show planned and feel sure she will gain the few points
remaining to make Grand Champion. Then Desiree can retire from
the show ring to make some beautiful babies.

We had been looking for a kitten; I suppose you could say we were looking for a certain special...je ne sais quoi....
When we stumbled upon Karen Bishop's website, we were immediately drawn into its
cozy charm. When she emailed pictures of a male kitten she had available, we knew immediately he was "the one." We drove down to her house to take a look at the kitten, meet Karen and her family, and get an idea of how she keeps and raises her Bengals. When we got there, it all felt right. The kitten she had told us about hopped right in our laps, purring and cuddling. He moved with a comfortable grace, and cocked his head with intelligence when looking at people. We knew kittens weren't like this for no reason...it was because Karen (and her family) had done such a great job raising her kittens underfoot and selectively breeding and caring for her Bengals. There are benefits to Bishop's Bengal's small scale, and that is that each cat receives special attention, and that makes a HUGE difference.
After we took the kitten home, we longed to get another Bengal kitten as soon as possible. One day, Fate's strange workings brought us our boy's littermate brother from a woman who could no longer keep him--so now we have TWO Bishop's Bengals! (together, we affectionately call them our "Beastie Boys"! now we really need a third!). They got along instantly, and every morning when we awake they are curled up together at the end of the bed. When they see we are starting to wake up, they rush up to curl around our heads--little purr and
love bugs! They are confident, healthy and robust, full of character, and friendly to everyone and love to love! They are part of the family and we love them so much.
We couldn't more highly recommend Bishop's Bengals. Karen cares so much about her cats after they leave...she keeps in touch and has answered all of our questions and concerns about our kittens. In writing this we were so obsessed with our kitten's personalities we forgot to mention something else: they are the most visually stunning cats we have ever seen; everyone admires them and calls them "little leopards"! Their pelts are divine and so soft to touch.
The Best Bengals are Bishop's Bengals!
Any prospective owner can contact us with questions! We love to talk about our two Bishop's Bengals babies! Saskia, Peer, and the "Beastie Boys"! Berkeley, CA November 2002 |

| Hi Karen
I bought a blue bengal female kitten from you last year at a show in
Pleasanton, CA (I breed pugs - I'm sure you remember me...) I named her
Nala and I just wanted to tell you that I absolutely adore this cat. She
always responds verbally to her name. She was raised here with a litter
of pugs and I kept one, Maya, who is best friends with Nala. They
wrestle and play and sleep together. Nala never uses her claws, but is
very gentle. I think she believes she is a pug.
Thanks again for letting me have her. She's fantastic. If I ever get another kitten it will be from you. Best Regards, Lisa Frisco Pugs Hercules, CA November 2002 |

Dear Karen- We are having an amazing time with our new addition to the family. Tiger is a wonderful and funny kitten. She keeps us all entertained throughout the day. She's very playful and yet she's ready to be calm and cuddle when you want. She has an amazing disposition! Sometimes Charlotte dresses her up, all the things a girl wants to do with a doll and I must say Tiger is very tolerant, never scratching, hissing or biting. She just goes with the flow and comes back for more, she's about as close to a dog as a cat could be! We love her a lot. Thank you for all your help and knowledge and being available all the time to answer our questions and concerns. You were and continue to be so helpful to me, it is a pleasure to know you and if ever we decide to expand our Bengal family, I know Karen Bishop is the one to see. Thanks again. October 2002 |

| Well, I was just sitting here watching Song run through the house and I am
just amazed at how well she has adjusted to the move.
She also can... now get this... retrieve as well as any dog I have had. I started
by cutting a 8.5x11" sheet of paper in half, and then balled it up into a small ball.
We have been playing with the ball for the past 3 weeks on a daily basis. She
returns the ball to within 12-18" of me each and every time I throw it. I get quite
the stunned reaction from my friends when they come over to see Song perform.
If I do not take the paper ball away from her when I go to bed ... it will be either
in her food or water bowl in the morning.
On several occasions, when I wake up in the morning... I find her at the foot of
my bed on top of the comforter looking at me waiting for me to start my day.
What a character.
Song loves company and when friends come over, she will always join us.
I brush her every night and her coat and general health are excellent. When I
work on my computer in the evenings or watching a bit of TV... she is always very
close by watching me or waiting for me to reach down and stroke her.
Song is really a great cat. Ron |

Dear Karen & Family,
9-2002
I hope your and your family are doing really well! I've been wanting to send you an email for the longest time...... I just wanted to tell you thank you so much for breeding two such delightful kitty cats! My kids and I love our Bali my brown spotted & Bosha my snow spotted, so much, they have been so fun and sweet, playful and SOOO intelligent! Karen, you often come to mind as an extraordinary person to have breed such wonderful kitties. These are the two most playful, athletic, intuitive and intelligent cats I've ever seen. I'm so proud they are a part of my family. They've just turned 1 year old, as you told me they were born in August of last year. They have developed into such gorgeous cats - and their personalities just grow and grow. They really are great. The two of them get along so well. Two peas in a pod and constantly playing. Well, it's past my bedtime, but one of these days I'll get a great shot of them and email it to you. You should see how beautiful they are! Hope it's not too hot up there - it's just scorching down here - Take care, Jackie |

| Our
two kittens have been very healthy and have very friendly, outgoing
temperaments.
They are very playful! But they are not so wild that they don't like snuggling
up with us too. Even our vet has complimented us (though it really is you) on
both their health and temperament on several occasions. Thanks for being an
outstanding resource I can call on anytime. I have found all your advice (even
the ones I initially thought were a little strange I hope you don't mind me
saying!) to be right on the mark. I am continually amazed by the love and
concern you have for all your cats and kittens, even though you have had
so many. One thing I can't say enough is how happy we are about our decision to
get two kittens from the same litter! Watching how they have cared for each
other from the beginning, and play with each other constantly, I know they
are much happier for it. I am sure one reason they are so well-behaved at the
vet and other normally scary situations is that they are always happy
and confident having each other nearby. It is especially reassuring to know that
our kittens, who crave so much love and attention, have company while my husband
and I are at work. I would emphatically recommend to anyone who works during the
day to not get just one kitten. When I first read that advice in a
book, I thought the author was probably a breeder just trying to sell more
kittens! But it is the best cat advice we've gotten. Its wonderful while we're
home too, because my arm wears out from waving the feather toy much faster they
they wear out chasing it. With two, they can play on "auto-pilot" while we sit
back and just watch. There are so many other reasons, like all the special
inter-cat behaviors that you would miss with just one--from seeing them curl up
like a ying-and-yang to sleep, how they lick and groom each other, I could go on
and on. Thanks for everything, Karen, though I'm sure you haven't heard the last
from me as far as questions go! =)

| Karen, my boys are the best!!! They
are so cute, so funny, & so entertaining!
Somehow they have already figured out how to get onto the counters. When I shower, I leave the shower door open & they sit on the ledge & end up getting drenched! Last night they discovered the down comforter on my bed. (with the help of daddy!) Batting at gold fish in a bowl is so much fun too! They are starting to get used to Liesle. (my German Shepherd). They are truly the most incredible kitties. Debbie, from Central California |

I recently purchased a male kitten from Bishop's Bengals as a companion to my 5-year old pet male. They became immediate best friends, lapping water side-by-side from the running faucet and sharing all those unique Bengal activities that make them so endearing.
At the same time, I found a new friend in Karen Bishop, who adores her kittens and had great advice whenever I called.
I wholly recommend Bishop¹s Bengals to anyone looking for a gorgeous cat with a charming personality and loving temperament. You will know immediately that Karen¹s cats are truly raised under foot and love being a part of a family. If anyone would like to speak to me so I can rave about Scout, please feel free to
call.

I have two beautiful and healthy kittens from Bishop's Bengals. They are
noted by all who see them as charming cats with great dispositions.
I knew little about this type of cat when I first contacted Karen Bishop of Bishop's Bengals. She provided friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and complete assistance. I am thrilled with the cats I have from Bishop's Bengals, and the attention and care Karen provided throughout the process of bringing my kittens home. I highly recommend Bishop's Bengals to anyone interested in owning a stunning Bengal cat! Amanda, from Seattle, Washington |

Karen: Funny you asked about my kitten.... she is doing great! Very spoiled. We call her the wild animal. She is not afraid of anything or anyone (she loves to hang out with our lab who is 85 lbs & also spends a lot of time chasing around our other two bengals). Last night we had company and she was the star of the show!! She's very friendly and silly. I have some great photos but I will have to mail them - I don't have a digital. Our kitty is beautiful, healthy and full of personality. We're very happy with her. I'll send the photos this week! Thanks again,

Karen,
I wanted to let you know that I as so pleased with the kitten (now 1 1/2
years old) you sent me. He has brought so much love, pleasure, and laughter
into my life. He is very healthy and I have been told by many people (I
bring him to work with me at a retail store, so many customers see him on a
daily basis) as well as my veterinarian that his is the most striking,
beautiful Bengal they have ever seen. I might add I totally agree!!! He is
lovable and independent and definitely "the boss." He is very very secure
within himself. I have brought him to friends who own dogs and he walks right
up sniffs noses, gives them a "lovable" smack on the face (no claws
extracted) and enjoys the company.
I wanted you to know, the first time we talked on the phone when I was
looking for a Bengal, you were very helpful, knowledgeable and compassionate.
I felt the love you have for your cats and you were very helpful with any
questions I had before and even after I got him. Thanks again for the "love
of my life."
Sincerely, Susan, from New Jersey |
